Save $998 and Savor Incredible Sound When You Buy the Shunyata V16, Venom Defender, and Gamma NR Bundle: Includes 16-Outlet Power Distributor for Large A/V Systems, 1.75m Cable, and Plug-and-Play Conditioner

If you've been on the fence about the benefits of power products, or seeking a solution that goes beyond stereo setups and addresses home-theater needs, now's the time to act. Purchase the Shunyata Venom V16 power distributor, Gamma NR power cable, and Venom Defender pocket-sized conditioner in this bundle and save nearly a grand. But you'll get the biggest bang for your buck when you hear just how much more transparent, detailed, and dynamic your music and movies sound when you employ this proven combination.

The proprietary noise-reduction technology and 16-outlet capacity on Venom V16 make it an ideal choice for home theater or complex music systems. Traditional power conditioners are designed to block incoming noise from outside the home, but they do not address the noise that is generated by the electronic components themselves. In fact, many conditioners actually reflect noise back into other components connected to the power conditioner. Component-to-Component Isolation (CCI) fully addresses one of the most significant but often overlooked aspects to power-system performance. V16's CCI architecture consists of a proprietary multistage filter that reduces electrical noise and interference generated by a component's power supply.

Practically speaking, Venom V16 excels for dozens of reasons, including its capacity to create dual-isolation zones. Venom V16 is rated for a full 20 amps of continuous current, allowing it to handle very demanding home theater systems, including multiple high-power amplifiers. It features two independent noise-reduction isolation zones, each with an eight-outlet array. This allows for partitioning between source or application use. For example, you could use Zone A for digital and Zone B for analog in a home audio system. Or, you could use Zone A for visual and Zone B for audio equipment in a home theater system. No matter the configuration of your setup, Venom V16 gives you stellar options. Read more about its technological features below.

Specializing in coherence, purity, and openness, all the while helping deliver balanced nuances and explosive dynamics, the 1.75m Gamma NR power cable lets you connect Venom V16 to your wall outlet and get optimal performance. Gamma Series cables never sound forward, bright, aggressive or edgy. However, what truly separates Gamma cables from all others is their self-effacing alacrity, timing accuracy, dynamic punch, and frequency extension. Most pure-copper cables may sound warm, rich, and full bodied at the expense of accurate timing, dynamics, and frequency extension. Gamma cables are very natural, but surprisingly agile, athletic, and entirely unforced with regard to expressing frequency extension, timing, weight, and authority in the low octaves. Simply put, Gamma NR allows the purity of the sound to take center stage.

The world's only outboard pocket-sized power conditioner, Venom Defender is the only product in its field that provides both supreme protection and noise isolation by plugging directly into a wall outlet. It eliminates the need for an extra power cord, internal wiring, outlets, breakers, coils, or shelf space. By filtering everything back to the breaker, Defender filters noise away from components and any electronics you have on a power line. Because it does so much for such little cost, a Defender should be used in every outlet into which you plug electronics. Put one wherever you have computers, televisions, all audio and video components, and any portable electronics.

Inside, Venom Defender features Shunyata's MPDA (multi phase differential array), a 30-element filter network that targets specific noise generated by electronic power supplies. Additionally, NextGEN TMOV provide up to 22,000 Amps of surge protection. This compact-sized protection and filter package even has an integrated fuse and has a red LED indicator that alerts the user in the unlikely event of an internal fault.

ArNi Conductors

Shunyata Research's ArNi conductors are designed to be the finest-quality wire available for power and audio purposes. They begin with the highest purity copper available — OFE C10100 (or Ohno single crystal). Then they are formed into "virtual hollow tubes" that Shunyata refers to as VTX (a trademarked name). The core of the conductor is completely hollow, forcing the current to only travel through the periphery of the conductor, thereby eliminating skin effects and random eddy currents. Every ArNi wire undergoes Shunyata's proprietary Kinetic Phase Inversion Process (KPIP).

Kinetic Phase Inversion Process (KPIP)

Shunyata's proprietary Kinetic Phase Inversion Process was developed to significantly reduce the amount of time required to burn-in cables and power conditioners. It also has a performance-enhancing effect above and beyond simple burn-in. Four days of continuous KPIP processing dramatically reduces the ups and downs of new equipment burn-in while significantly improving sonic performance — delivering a more natural, lifelike presentation.

Electromagnetic Breaker

Over-current protection is a requirement for today's high-current audio power distributors. The vast majority of manufacturers use an inexpensive thermal fuse or breaker. Both are specifically designed to heat up as the current level rises. This causes voltage drops, increased contact impedance, thermal noise, excessive heat generation, and current-limiting effects. The engineers at Shunyata devised a better solution: a hydraulic electromagnetic breaker that utilizes low-impedance relays, and a sensing coil that reads the current level without heating up or limiting current. They can operate right up to the maximum current level without heating up or limiting instantaneous current. They are rarely used in other companies' products because they cost 10 to 20 times that of a common fuse or thermal breaker.

Vibration Dampening

Based on years of research, Shunyata has created its own vibration-dampening solutions. As any experienced audiophile knows, mechanical vibration can be very destructive to system performance. Shunyata power conditioners are designed from inception to include advanced forms of vibration control that improve the recovery of subtle musical detail and nuance. All Shunyata chassis panels and internal structures are treated with vibration-dampening panels. Each outlet is isolated from the chassis with a vibration-dampening gasket that reduces vibration conducted through the AC cables. All internal modules, filters, and electronics are encapsulated in a vibration-absorbent compound.

Cryogenic Processing

Shunyata Research operates its own on-site Cryogenics International computer-controlled cryogenic plant. Liquid nitrogen is used to reduce the temperature of the contents to -320 degrees Fahrenheit. A computer monitors and lowers the temperature by a single degree at a time to prevent thermal shock. Shunyata utilizes this process to improve the performance of connectors and various electrical components that are used in its power products and signal cabling.
