Save $2,000 and Get a Bundle Made for Each Other: Japanese-Made Marantz Model 10 Integrated Amplifier and SACD 10 SACD/CD Player Define "Reference," Play Music with Beguiling Realism, Accuracy, and Emotionalism

The highest-performing, most musical, and cosmetically gorgeous integrated amplifier in Marantz’s prestigious history, Model 10 more than justifies its “Reference” badging. This esteemed component is what dream-level high-end audio is all about.

Equipped with revised dual-mono symmetrical topology that involves fully balanced dual-mono amplifiers with dual-mono switch-mode power supplies, the 74.3-pound Model 10 conquers any potential interference or vibration issues by way of architecture that entirely separates the internal structures. On the outside, a triple-layer, copper-plated symmetrical separation chassis, brushed aluminum front panel, and stainless mesh top grille with internal illumination complement Marantz’s signature porthole display complete with a full-color TFT that can double as a digital VU meter that resembles traditional analog types. A solid aluminum volume knob and input selector, as well as solid aluminum and copper feet, round out the exemplary exterior. And that’s just the start of this benchmark component.

Delivering a conservatively rated 250Wpc (into eight ohms), Model 10 leverages the benefits of Purify technology as well as custom in-house engineering and construction performed at the company’s Shirakawa factory in Japan. As such, each Model 10 is individually turned by the Marantz Sound Master — resulting in intoxicating playback distinguished with grand-scale dynamics, breathtaking naturalism, three-dimensional texture, in-the-room presence, alluring warmth, and expansive soundstaging. Balanced from input to output, Model 10 essentially eradicates distortion all the while giving privileged listeners levels of current drive necessary to reproduce practically any type of music with incredible realism, accuracy, and emotionalism.

Measuring 7.56 x 17.32 x 18.62 inches (HWD), Model 10 also boasts brand-new HDAM and HDAM3 circuitry for maximum detail retrieval and an isolated linear power supply strictly dedicated to the preamplifier for supreme clarity. Recognizing different users will have different needs, Model 10 allows you to bypass the preamplifier if you so choose and offers a rich array of connectivity options. In addition to a magnificent-sounding MM/MC phonostage with Marantz Musical Premium Phono EQ and headphone input replete with an HDAM-SA2+ diamond buffer, Model 10 touts three more analog inputs, a pair of XLR inputs, an XLR pre-out, and two sets of speaker outputs that allow for bi-wiring. Marantz SPKT-100+ speaker terminals, tone controls, Source Direct mode, and mono mode add to the spoils.

Operable from the convenience of your chair with the supplied aluminum remote control, Model 10 marks a bold leap forward in terms of sound, build, elegance, and design. From isolating the high power from the low power circuitry to its entirely fully balanced layout, to containing a phonostage with settings for low-, medium-, and high-output cartridges and providing the ability to handle even the most challenging passages with aplomb, the Japanese-made Model 10 is your new and future reference.

Musical clarity, depth, precision, imaging, detail, soundstaging, openness, and texture all take on extraordinary levels of realism, definition, and presence with the Marantz SACD 10 Reference SACD/CD player. Built in the company's Shirakawa factory in Japan and extensively tuned by the Marantz Sound Master, this robust 72.75-pound machine makes good on the promise of turning the information on your discs into the equivalent of private concerts. And because it offers high-resolution support for external source components and four digital inputs for other sources, the gorgeous SACD 10 doubles as a benchmark digital processing center for streaming  and more.

Indeed, SACD 10's most impressive feature may relate to its groundbreaking digital-to-analog conversion process that has evolved past its original version-one status and into an even higher-performing realm on this 7.56 x 17.32 x 17.4-inch (HWD) component. Instead of taking the traditional route of down-converting ultra-high-res files to accommodate the abilities of a traditional DAC, SACD 10 upconverts everything to DSD256 via a new, patent-pending process called Marantz Musical Mastering. This development allows SACD 10 to better DAC technology by operating without a DAC. That's right: the best DAC is no DAC but Marantz Musical Mastering. We will explain.

A custom-built, fully differential, and fully balanced solution steeped in complex engineering, Marantz Musical Mastering involves two stages: MMM-Conversion and MMM-Stream. In the former, two dedicated master clocks guarantee all digital signals get directly upsampled to DSD256 (four times the SACD standard) without any need for sample-rate conversion. Because the output from the 1-bit direct MMM-Conversion process is an extremely high-frequency stream of single pulses, it's already an analog signal that requires nothing else than a benchmark low-pass filter to offer the purest-possible analog output. Enter MMM-Stream, which completes the enviably elegant digital processing equation. The result: An emotionally captivating, sonically enthralling answer to a problem nearly four decades in the making that fully makes the best of digital music without introducing any artifacts that require more post-conversion processing. You've never heard anything like it.

Housed in a robust chassis complete with a 15.8mm-thick aluminum side cover, 12mm-thick top cover, and triple-layer copper-plated bottom plate, SACD 10 boasts the proprietary SACDM-3 transport and a fully discrete variable-gain headphone amplifier. Inside, dual power supplies with toroidal transformers, an eight-layer PCB, and jitter-reducing components ensure optimal fidelity and purity. A fixed balanced XLR output, fixed analog RCA output, coaxial output, and optical output give you the connectivity options you need. On the front panel, an OLED display lets you keep tabs on what you're hearing. A supplied aluminum remote means you can control everything from the comfort of your chair.

Resting on four industrial support feet comprised of solid aluminum and copper, SACD 10 is a breakthrough design in the field of disc playback and high-resolution processing. The finest-sounding player in the history of a company renowned for disc playback, it is literally and figuratively the new reference.

"Built at Marantz’s Shirakawa facility, its potent output comes from advanced Purifi Class D modules adapted and tuned by Marantz’s ‘Sound Master’. The result is a captivating listening experience of exceptional clarity and room-filling scale."
—EISA, 2025-26 Award for Best High-End Integrated Amplifier

"Like all good flagships, Marantz’s Model 10 and SACD 10 impress across the board, from their build quality and design to features and performance. The well-connected amp combines warmth and refinement with tangible power, while the player/DAC is a master of detail and clarity, whether from disc or digital. The result is pure listening pleasure from two statement products that will bring pride of ownership."
—Mark Craven, Hi-Fi News, Outstanding Product

“Aside from physically installing the Model 10 in your listening room, there is nothing about this flagship Marantz integrated amplifier that is even close to being a hardship. It’s an extraordinarily assured and accomplished performer, and has an absolute stack of pertinent observations to make about any and all music you put into it. As such, if you’re looking for a powerhouse built like a battleship, then this is an essential audition.”
—Stereonet, Applause Award

“A massive product with an equally enormous sound, Marantz’s SACD 10 makes a huge impression. Never could you call it cheap, but it still represents good value if you crave what it delivers. Surely the company’s finest ever flagship silver disc spinner, it makes a great case for CD and SACD’s continued existence.”

Simply Brilliant: Marantz Musical Mastering Process Is Better Than a Conventional DAC
Rather than down-convert ultra-high-resolution files to suit a conventional digital to analog converter, as happens in most designs, SACD 10 upconverts everything to DSD256 via Marantz Musical Mastering – Conversion. Two dedicated master clocks ensure all digital signals are upsampled directly to DSD 256 – four times the SACD standard – without any need for sample-rate conversion. Two filter settings allow the listener to shape the sound. The other half of Marantz Musical Mastering – MMM-Stream – prepares the DSD256 signal for analog output to an amplifier. Based on technology going back to the early days of Bitstream conversion, it enables an ultra-simple conversion process. The output from the MMM-Conversion process is, in effect, already an analog signal – or, a very high-frequency stream of single pulses. With all the hard digital work done, this stream needs nothing more than a very high-quality low-pass filter to deliver the purest-possible analog audio output.
